Attractions in Littlehampton
A visit to the seaside can create lots of memories, and many of our guests return to Littlehampton with memories of their own previous visits. Racing Greens is in a great seafront location with many facilities within easy reach. As the town continues to grow and develop we have some great new features.
Come and create your own memories from some of our favourite activities: -
Follow the pathways (or take the promenade train) along the Blue flag sandy beach and see Littlehampton’s Longest Bench; Stage by the Sea; and East Beach Café. Beyond these you can enjoy Littlehampton’s Miniature Railway in Norfolk Gardens; Mewsbrook Park, and the Inspire Leisure swimming centre.
Enjoy ambling along our newly developed riverside walk along the Arun with its leisure marina, fishing and diving boats. Take the ferry to the West bank to explore the sand dunes of West beach (an area of Special Natural Interest), or take a gentle trip along the river to Arundel. There are opportunities to try kite surfing, fishing, diving, or sea angling.
Share fun and family moments in Littlehampton’s Harbour Park – a family friendly fun park in a fantastic location on the river side. You can challenge friends and family on one of our mini and crazy golf pitches along the promenade or try fishing for crabs in the Oyster pond or along the river wall. Visit Littlehampton’s Lifeboat station and see the rescue boats which do such good work along our coast (Racing Greens supports the Littlehampton RNLI volunteers).
Eat and drink at our local bars, tearooms, cafes and restaurants which tempt you with a range of international cuisines, and of course - award winning "Fish & Chips". The iconic East Beach Cafe (designed by the world renowned Thomas Heatherwick Studio) is close by. It is easy to wine and dine with no taxis or driving required! We are happy to suggest our favourite “eateries”.
You can experience a live show or watch films at the Windmill Theatre nearby, and of course there is always chance to mooch around our shops, If you like to look for antiques and collectables there are some opportunities in local shops and regular antique fairs in local venues – including major fairs at Goodwood, Fontwell and Worthing. Check out Arun Fairs for their programme.
Lovers of the countryside will enjoy the beautiful countryside of the Arun river valley and the stunning South Downs National Park (just a few miles away). There are many routes for cyclists and walkers to explore. (Cycle hire is available nearby).
We have great enthusiasm for West Sussex, and access to a wide range of visitor information. We are happy to help our guests discover the best of what is in the area, and experience a great stay.
